Please pray for one of our brothers in Christ, Donnie Bell. His trials and tests are too many to mention but they are not unlike that of Job. Pray that he has the faith and strength to bear them and that he and his family are comforted by the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Blessings,

Frank

Late Saturday night my cousin (Gina Sprague) was in a bad car accident.  She was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.  The doctors are saying that it is doubtful she will ever walk again.  This person is one of the most active people I know.....she loves to dance, ski, snowboard, ride bikes....everything.....she is 30 and lives in Vail because she loves to ski so much.  Alex and I already had tickets to go skiing with her over Easter.....but now it looks like we will be spending time with her at the spinal center.  Please pray for her and pray for the family as they go through this difficult time.

Please pray for Brian McIntire and his family.    This family lives in
Tarboro, NC and his wife Debbie was in a car accident on the way to the
beach at Morehead City.   Several kids including theirs and others were
in the vehicle she was driving.      The kids were injured none of which
I am hearing are life threatening.    I have heard the doctors have
recommended taking her off life support.

May your prayers lift this family and if it is God's will bring a
healing miracle to this young mother.

Pray for Jack, Dave, Paul and Esther as they are ministering in China this week. Pray for safety in travel and for good sessions with the pastors they will be training. Also pray that they and the interpreters will be able to communicate the materials. Most of all, pray that the Holy Spirit will use them to communicate his truth and love to the precious brothers and sisters, many of whom have only a few years of education in public schools. They are eager learners, and eager to serve the Lord, but they need to be grounded in God's truth.

Pray for Celesta and Sue as they are together in the States.  Pray for GOD's wisdom, strength, peace, guidance and presence to be with them uniquely.

Pray for the International Christian School and the fund-raising efforts.  This Saturday (14 Jan.) is a school-wide fasting and prayer day.

Pray for Tony Mendoza as he prepares to preach at Faith Fellowship this Sunday, January 15 and for Lina as she prepares to lead worship.

Pray for Elsa as she preaches on Sunday, January 15 at 10:00 in a Filipino church in Yau Ma Tei.

Dear Emmaus Family,

I am passing on this letter from my niece, Amy Valle.  I add my thanks to
you and praise and thanksgiving to God for this wonderful report!

Love, Cherri Howdy

Hello Aunt Cherri,

Would you please forward this letter to everyone who was praying for Claire
while she was sick.
Thank you!
Amy

We would like to thank everyone very much for your prayers for our daughter
Claire while she was sick. We were pleasantly surprised that so many people
we did not even know were so kind to our family.  Your prayers helped us get
through a more difficult time than we ever imagined we would face.  It was
reassuring to know that so many people were praying to God on our behalf.
God performed a Miracle by healing Claire and we believe that He delivered
this miracle because all of you were praying for her.

The doctors and nurses in the hospital were all amazed at how quickly Claire
recovered.  One day Claire was fighting for her life and the Doctor said
that he could not guarantee that she was going to make it.  Then,
miraculously she began to turn the corner.  The Doctor saw that she was
getting better but he said that we should be ready to spend the next month
in the Intensive Care Unit.  He said that children can get very sick in a
hurry, but that recovery is a much slower process and children improve over
time, not suddenly.  Her improvement was so dramatic, however, that three
days later she was released from the ICU to the floor of the hospital and
within a week she was home.  The doctors could not believe the speed of her
recovery.  One nurse called Claire the "Miracle Child".  Another nurse, who
was working very closely with Claire, told me that every other child who had
been as sick as Claire was and for as long as Claire had been, experienced
some sort of other organ failure and/or stroke.  She said she had never seen
any other child go through what Claire experienced and be otherwise
unaffected.

Once Claire was released home, the process of her lungs' healing began.  One
day, she got sick with a fever of 107.5 degrees and we had to take her to
the emergency room.  When we followed up with the Pulmonary (lung) doctor he
said that the abscess in her lung was still there.  He did not know if her
high fever was due to an infection within the abscess, so he put Claire on
antibiotics.  He said that depending on how the abscess healed, Claire might
need to go back for surgery after she got stronger and her lung tissue
firmed up.  He said the abscess could either heal with solid scar tissue, in
which case surgery would not be required, or with scar tissue surrounding
fluid.  If this were the case, she could keep developing repeated infections
every time bacteria managed to enter the abscess, and she could quickly get
very sick again.

The week before Christmas we went to see the pulmonary doctor to review the
results of a CT scan Claire had.  My first question to him was about the
abscess in her lungs.  He said, "What abscess - It's gone!"  I asked him
four or five times again and he assured me that the abscess is completely
gone.  He also said that he was amazed at how well her lungs are healing.
That was the best Christmas present we could have received.

God performed a miracle for our family and we are certain it was because so
many people were praying for our Claire.  God listened to our prayers, but
most importantly, he listened to your prayers - you who care about others
despite never having met them.  To all of you, we give our most sincere and
grateful thanks.

God bless all of you,

The Valle Family

God bless you all for praying it is powerful,

Makenzie (our 4 year old granddaughter) is home from the hospital and doing
great. Her small wheelchair is in from the factory and when the insurance
refused the hospital bed for her home a drug store donated one for the time
need at no cost! God is so cool! Crystal (Makenzie's mom) says thanks for
the prayers and it is powerful.

Brenda and I thank all of you for your prayers. May the Lord pour out His
awesome Glory all over each of you! Keep praying she was told that it would
be 8 weeks in the half body cast and wheelchair but we are believing in a
much quicker healing! We expect nothing less!

Brothers and Sisters:

Charles Barrow has the opportunity to travel back to Zimbabwe and spend time at one of the farms he visited last year with the ZOE Ministry.  The goal is for this farm to provide at least a portion of the food for the orphans and others in need.  Charles has continued to work on this project with Rev. Jenks since his trip last year.  He will leave Nov. 28th and return home December 10th.   The cost of the roundtrip airfare is $2,300. and this is in the cheap seats!  Ground transportation, food, work visa, and other expenses will run approximately $500. for a total of $2,800.  He has saved $500. and has raised another $1,000.  He still needs to raise another $1,300.  We would appreciate your prayers and if you can help with the trip we thank you.  Rev. Greg Jenks is also going into Zambia on this trip, which means Charles will be on his own for at least part of the trip.  Please keep them in your prayers.

For those who may not know:  The Zimbabwe Orphans Endeavor is currently feeding 8,000 orphans per day!  This ministry is just barely over a year old.  Praise God!  You can read more about the ministry at zoeministry.org.

Saturday afternoon I asked for prayers for Tim Mason of Harkers Island.  He was transferred from Carteret General to Craven Regional.   He was really not expected to make it through the night with the major heart attack he suffered.  We have an awesome God.  Tim is slowly improving, made it through last night and they may remove his breathing tube tomorrow.  Thank you all for your prayers.  They are working.  He is still very serious so keep him in your prayers.   God Bless!

I would like to ask everyone to keep Malinda Edmonds in your prayers. She is a co-worker of mine. She was feeling short of breath and her husband took her to the doctor. He sent her straight to the hospital. To make a long story short, she was transferred to Duke and needs a heart transplant. Please pray for God's mercy to be upon this family in this time of need. She has been added to the list to receive a transplant. The doctor told the family that her time is very limited. Please pray for this family and that God's will be done.

God Bless and DeColores,
